AEther analyzes your voice using 8 acoustic channels with YIN pitch tracking, spectral centroid, voiced-nuclei rate, HNR, and stability proxies. Optional research diagnostics can also log extra formant-spacing, upper-band, and sustained-vowel bandwidth features without affecting scoring.
Real-time within-session acoustic indicators for clarity, activation, load, low-energy delivery, restraint, and precision under activation — all relative to your own baseline.
In live mode, AEther first learns your room noise floor, then guides a short voice baseline. Results are coaching/biofeedback cues, not hidden-state detection.

Live mode uses a robust quiet-room calibration and a guided voice baseline before scoring. Using the same short phrase each session improves comparability.

Vocal Profile States
CLEAR
Regular pitch trajectory, consistent amplitude, moderate pace — your steadiest, most controlled delivery relative to baseline. (F0Stab/AmpStab are 30 Hz frame-level consistency proxies, not cycle-accurate perturbation measures.)
ACTIVATED
Pitch, loudness, or pace elevated above your baseline — heightened vocal energy, not necessarily stress.
LOADED
More pauses, slower rate, or wandering pitch — often appears during complex thought or uncertain phrasing.
LOW ENERGY
Reduced loudness, pitch, pace, or harmonic definition compared to your baseline.
RESTRAINED
Compressed pitch range with deliberate pacing and high stability — controlled, narrow delivery.
TENSE
Sustained elevated pitch or loudness combined with maximum articulatory control and pitch stability. Most common in formal, scripted, or very precise delivery — not an emotional stress indicator. Requires several seconds of consistent signal to appear.
All states are relative acoustic profiles compared to your within-session baseline. They describe how your voice sounds, not what you feel or intend.
